Barriered Films (Low - Medium - High)

Barriered Films (Low - Medium - High)

Vacuum package

Vacuum-packing is probably the most economical way of extending shelf life. The processing technique reduces oxygen level as much as possible via extreme vacuum. The pre-formed pouch must have a barrier to prevent oxygen re-entering the pack.

Pasteurization

Pasteurization is a process that heats the pre-packed food to high temperatures without any chemicals used. Pouches should have medium or high barrier features. They are attractive for consumers as meeting the demand for freshness and minimal processing as it helps in avoiding chemical additives, extended shelf life (can be stored in 4C degree fridges or on normal selves), no risk of  cold chain breakage wider product distribution and results in fewer product returns.

Retort (Sterilization)

Retort systems use steam to cook food in its own package, extending shelf life and ensuring food safety. It requires a sophisticated multilayer, high barrier laminate package.  Politaş Ambalaj is one of the few companies in Turkey that has experience in the production of high-performance retort pouches that gives a competitive edge with eye-catching appearance, product freshness, taste and aroma protection, and extended shelf life. Retort pouches are mostly preferred for tuna fish, ready meals, sauces, military food, ketchup, mayo, etc.

Lac Application

Lac Application

Matt Lac & Partial Lac

The final package can have a shinny or matt look.

Anti-fog Lac

In the case of food packaging films, the fog can be detrimental to the quality of the food and also reduce the clarity of the packaging, which may reduce its shelf appeal for the consumer. These effects can be prevented or delayed by incorporating antifog additives into the plastic film.
